The Great 2010 Christmas Internet Scavenger Hunt

Let's do something fun and comment-whorish!

They say you can find anything on the internet. Without Googling, I'm going to come up with a long list of things that I think might be on the internet, maybe in multiple forms. Then you, the viewer, get to run around finding them! There is no prize because I am broke, so it's one of those scavenger hunts, where the journey is the destination, or some other vaguely Western Buddhist thing.

So here it is, your list of 39 things I think might be on the internet. Put links in the comments with the corresponding Thing Number so we know what it is ... no Rick Rolling you people who still think it's 2004. I'll make the links live on this list. Then we will become a repository for all this knowledge on Google! (If you find a link that trumps an already discovered link, post it anyway ... the best link will win.) Let's go:

  1. Song or video that combines the music of Abba with the world of Super Mario
  2. Photo of Obama with a mustache that is not Hitler's
  3. Video clip of Will Ferrell doing something before his tenure on SNL
  4. Rumor about a remake of Ben-Hur
  5. Someone on MySpace with three or fewer friends who has updated/visited their page within the past month
  6. Candy made of acai berries (must be marketed as candy)
  7. News story about an old woman (70+) and an alligator
  8. Crocheted blood stain (articles of clothing, decorative pieces, and avant garde art all qualify)
  9. Personal e-mail address for Mila Kunis (not necessarily current or active, but not "official" or management)
  10. Cartoon in which a dog is flying a helicopter
  11. Non-corporate blog about laundry
  12. Academic paper that mentions the hamster dance gif/song
  13. Black person wearing a Brett Favre jersey (any team)
  14. YouTube of someone laughing hysterically with no context or any other content but the laughter
  15. Description for an actual cancelled TV show that was about or contained at least one talking animal
  16. Someone giving deadly serious advice on how to meet the love of your life on World of Warcraft
  17. Camcorder clip of high school production of Rent
  18. Newspaper article commenter who refers to Sarah Palin's breasts
  19. Recipe for salad that includes licorice (yes, I suppose star anise is close enough)
  20. Typo of a phone number such that it only has six digits
  21. Frat boy wearing a bra (photo or video)
  22. Blog post about organizing your life that contains a list of exactly 13 items
  23. Photo of the Turkish flag upside down
  24. Customer service agent stock photo (wearing telephone headset) of an Asian male
  25. Craigslist ad for a roommate that explicitly prohibits or prefers certain astrological signs
  26. Page or photo showing Aunt Jemima bottles throughout the years
  27. Corporate website for a company that manufactures paper in China
  28. Three-eyed cow
  29. "The More You Know" segment about huffing glue (real or parody)
  30. Someone kissing Glenn Beck (not necessarily on the lips, but bonus points for that)
  31. Game in which you play a purple robot
  32. Information about immigrating to Rwanda
  33. Trophy for jai alai
  34. Advice for removing chewing gum from hair that doesn't involve soap, shampoo, or peanut butter
  35. Tale of divorcing someone after meeting them on eHarmony or Match.com and marrying them
  36. Publicly available PDF document that's marked as confidential
  37. City or county website with something funny on it that's not supposed to be for kids
  38. Sound effect of someone walking in shoes on carpet
  39. Alfred Hitchcock's voice (must be audio file only, no YouTube)
